I am so thrilled and honored to be invited to review
The author, Peggy Sweeney-McDonald and I met through Southern Food Bloggers and became fast friends.  This book has incredible stories of Louisiana, her people and their food.  It is beautifully written and the photographs...well, I don't want to give away too much!  September 15th is the launch date but you can preorder on Amazon.com.
Right now though, it's time for chicory coffee and some reading.
I be sharing more soon!

“It was a blast to participate in this show. It celebrates a vital ingredient in what makes Louisiana a recipe for fun. Our experience with food – preparation, consumption and a focal point of our social interaction – are unique, memorable and, now, even the subject of monologues that are funny, poignant and quite revealing about the psyche of Louisianans.”
—Jay Dardenne, Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana

“I'm laughing, I'm hungry, I'm happy - when is the next edition?”
- Lally Brennan co-proprietor of Commander's Palace and co-author of In The Land of Cocktails

“My favorites - Louisiana cooking and culture - in this fun, enlightening, and entertaining book.”
-Holly Clegg, Author of the best-selling trim&TERRIFIC™ cookbooks

“If there is anything Southerners love more than spinning a good yarn it's eating.  In Meanwhile, Back At Café Du Monde… our oral and culinary traditions walk hand-in-hand.  It is a Sunday potluck supper in book form.” – Stuart Reb Donald, Third Coast Cuisine & Foodbuzz
