Okra Finds a Friend!

Written By Unknown on Friday, August 24, 2012 | 7:30 AM

A couple of days ago, a dear friend and blog follower sent me an email asking for help....

"I have okra I am tired of frying………….go figure. Tonight I’m going to try roasting it, but if you have other alternatives, please advise……………………..helpful posting idea? Yes, I know how to make gumbo…………..looking for something different………….but happy to hear of your gumbo recipe as well! Thanks!"

You know I'm happy to help BUT there is one small problem - I don't have any okra recipes because I only like it fried.  Of course, I just couldn't leave my friend hanging so I sent out a distress call for some assistance.  I was just tickled to death when within 3 hours my girls from Southern Food Bloggers had rescued me and provided some of the best okra recipes I've ever heard of.  I can't wait to personally give them a try and my friends problem is solved! So, Donna, this one's for you.
Thank you Susan, Pam, Rachel and Liz...you all are the best!
