North Carolina has so many great places to visit and one to experience whether a native or a visitor is Biltmore Estates.
On Christmas Eve 1895, George W. Vanderbilt officially opened Biltmore House. It took 6 years to build and is the largest privately owned home in the United States.
The house has 250 rooms, 65 fireplaces, 43 bathrooms, 34 bedrooms, and three kitchens and is really a lot bigger than it looks here!
What a front yard! I'm sure we could get at least 1 lacrosse and 1 soccer field on it plus a putting green.

It was a great day with my boys and we learned a few new things about where we're from.
